# Sea Time Ledger > Log your trips on your phone, count creditable sea days by the small vessel day rule, see totals against the published OUPV and Master numbers, and print a vessel grid. Private, in your browser. Sea Time Ledger is a free, private sea service log for recreational and part time boaters working toward a US small boat operator (OUPV, often called a six pack license) or Master 25, 50 or 100 ton credential. It applies the day rule in 46 CFR 10.107 to each logged trip and shows totals against the published service numbers. The full text of every guide and the FAQ is at https://seatimeledger.app/llms-full.txt. - [Sea time log for your captain's license](https://seatimeledger.app/): Log boat trips on your phone, count creditable sea days by the 4 hour small vessel rule, and see totals against the OUPV and Master numbers. Free and private. ## Tools - [Sea time log, trip by trip](https://seatimeledger.app/log/): Log each boat trip in a few taps: date, vessel, waters, hours underway, role. Each day is counted by the day rule as you save, and nothing leaves your device. - [Sea days toward OUPV and Master](https://seatimeledger.app/progress/): Your counted sea days by waters against the published OUPV and Master 25, 50 and 100 GRT numbers, with recent service, tonnage and the section cited. ## Reference - [Sea time guides for a captain's license](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/): Plain answers on logging sea time: what counts as a day, OUPV vs Master numbers, near coastal vs inland, who signs, your own boat and the sea service form. - [Questions about the sea time log](https://seatimeledger.app/faq/): What the sea time log counts and what it does not decide, where your trips are stored, the day rule, recent service, and how the printed grid fits the form. ## Guides - [How to log sea time for a captain's license](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/how-to-log-sea-time/): Log sea time trip by trip: date, vessel, waters, hours underway and role, then total the days per vessel by month. What to record and how the days are counted. - [What counts as a sea day: the 4 hour rule](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/what-counts-as-a-sea-day/): On a boat under 100 gross tons, a sea day is 4 or more hours underway in one calendar day. Under 4 hours earns nothing; 8 or 12 hours still counts as one day. - [OUPV vs Master 25, 50, 100 ton sea time](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/oupv-vs-master-sea-time/): An OUPV (six pack) needs 360 days of sea time, 90 near coastal for that route. A near coastal Master under 100 tons needs 720, with 360 near coastal or ocean. - [Logging sea time on your own boat](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/sea-time-on-your-own-boat/): Time on your own boat counts. Owners of vessels under 200 GRT may attest to their own sea service and attach proof of ownership, such as the title. - [Near coastal vs inland vs Great Lakes days](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/near-coastal-vs-inland-vs-great-lakes/): Inland days are shoreward of the boundary line, near coastal days seaward of it, and the Great Lakes are their own class. Which days count toward which route. - [Who signs your sea service form or letter](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/who-signs-your-sea-service/): On someone else's boat the owner, operator or master signs your sea service. On your own boat under 200 GRT you sign yourself and attach proof of ownership. - [Sea service form instructions, box by box](https://seatimeledger.app/guide/sea-service-form-box-by-box/): How to fill in the small vessel sea service form (CG-719S) box by box: the vessel section, the year and month grid, the totals by waters, and the signatures. ## Policies - [Privacy, your sea time log stays local](https://seatimeledger.app/privacy/): How your data is handled: your trips, vessels and names stay in your browser, the form fill runs inside the page, and nothing you log is sent to any server. - [Terms of use for the sea time log](https://seatimeledger.app/terms/): The terms for using this sea time log: a record keeping helper, not advice, with no warranty that a day is credited, and how refunds work if plans exist. ## Premium - [Premium plans for the sea time log](https://seatimeledger.app/premium/): Premium adds more vessels, printable vessel grids, the form fill, encrypted backups and CSV import. Trips, the day rule and the gap check stay free. ## What it is not - Sea Time Ledger is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States Coast Guard, the National Maritime Center or any other government body. - Sea Time Ledger does not determine eligibility; the credentialing authority decides. It is a record keeping helper, not an official record or evaluation. - It gives no navigation, safety or legal advice, and it never collects a Social Security number. ## Pricing Free. No paid plan is offered at present. Every feature is open to everyone with no account. Nothing is uploaded: trips stay in the browser. ## Optional - [Full text for AI assistants](https://seatimeledger.app/llms-full.txt): every guide, the credential table and the FAQ as one Markdown file. - Contact: socialreminderinfo@gmail.com
