How Sea Time Ledger handles your data: your trips, vessels and names stay in your browser, the form fill runs in the page, and nothing you log is sent anywhere.
Last updated 28 September 2026.
What stays on your device
Everything you log, your trips, your vessels, your name for the printouts and your notes, is written to your browser's own local storage under the key seatimeledger.ledger.v1. There is no server side to this site: it is a set of static files. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere. The names of owners or masters you type into a letter draft are kept only on that page and are not stored.
Your log therefore belongs to one browser on one device. It does not follow you to a phone, it is not backed up by us, and nobody else can read it. Clearing site data for this site removes it permanently. Export a backup from the log page to keep a copy, and add a passphrase if you want the file itself locked.
No identity numbers
The site never asks for a Social Security number, a mariner reference number or any other identity number, and has nowhere to store one.
Your form stays on your device too
When you fill your own downloaded copy of the sea service form, the PDF is opened and filled inside this page and handed back to you as a download. It is never uploaded, stored or seen by us.
No accounts
There is no sign up, no sign in, no email capture and no password to lose.
What is collected
No account, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics of what you log. Standard web server logs kept by the static host may record the request for a page, its time, and a network address, in the ordinary way any web server records a request.
Page counts
This site counts page visits through Cloudflare. The count sets no cookie, it cannot follow you from here to another site, and nothing you enter is part of it. It records that a page was opened, not what you logged.
Purchases
If paid features are offered, purchases are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe, who receive what a checkout needs. An anonymous purchase id is then kept in this browser so your access is recognised. Your sea time log is never sent to them.
Cookies
Sea Time Ledger sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising or cross site tracking scripts.
Children
The site is a record keeping aid for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will appear on this page.
Contact
Questions about privacy go to [email protected]. Since nothing is stored on a server, most requests are answered by telling you which local storage key to clear.
